When you're beautiful, rich, famous, and have relationships with prominent people, it's easy to let decency take a backseat. Penelope, however, isn't like that. Not only does she give loads of money to charitable organizations, such as Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, but she has also spent months volunteering in Uganda.

If anything, this sense of empathy and compassion has made Penelope a better actress. She usually plays emotional women and, while others go over the top, Penelope always develops her roles into well-rounded, believable characters. She's so good that she's become the darling of some of the best Spanish directors around.
